Hi I am Kay Rung and I am working as a trainers and mediator.

I have practiced NVC for the last 27 years, practiced and taught mediation as we teach it on this training.

I have a interest in how we learn things, how the process works kind of. That is good to know as a mediator when we might want the parties to learn about each other and also about themselves.

Apart from NVC and mediation I also work with organizations that need help in handling dilemmas that occur when they do changes in their organization, areas around self-leadership, flat organizations etc.

I am also doing work for the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) in our case meaning mediation between forest companies and native Swedish villages, the Sami. I do this together with Liv and it is both meaningful and brings a lot of learning about context in a mediation. How things like history, past behaviors, culture, market economy, environmental changes, climate changes and different kind of power impact mediation and collaboration.

Things I enjoy besides my work is to cross country skiing, enjoying good food and some wine, preferably some heavy red.

I live in the north of Sweden just below the polar circle with Liv, our son Neo and our cat.

Just below the polar circle means that the summer nights are bright as a day, and the winter days are dark as any night. In this part of the world, we have more like 8 seasons, meaning the midwinter is dark and cold and the spring winter is bright and crispy. Writing this as this groupe is global and I sometimes forget that the things I have around me can be exotic for people who live in some other part of the world. 🤓
